Ryan Reynold’s Deadpool sequel could have premiered in theaters without any sort of promotion and I still would be there opening night to view it. Luckily, so far, we have had several teasers and footage to keep us all sated, so many that I just put three different hyperlinks in this paragraph. Nothing has been as satisfying, though; than the trailer just released today. In typical Deadpool fashion, we open up to Dopinder enjoying some tunes in his cab, before Wade Wilson ruins the calming moment.
Just like the first Deadpool film, the Merc with the Mouth is not holding his tongue and is not holding back on the violence. In what promises to be an absolutely action-packed film, Wade has clearly learned to work with others, because he’s brought friends! Fox must have gotten a better budget for the sequel, since we are given more than just two X-Men this time. Don’t worry, Colossus and Negatsonic Teenage Warhead are returning!
Besides Wade Wilson himself, two of the most anticipated additions to the Deadpool film franchise were Josh Brolin as the main antagonist Cable and Zazie Beetz as Domino. Both look great. We already know Brolin will be reprising his role as the intergalactic villain Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War, but for this Fox/Marvel film, he will be making his four-film debut. Domino looks amazing and I cannot wait for another badass woman to come on screen and kick all our asses.
Some notable newcomers are none other than Terry Crews and 2017 IT’s star Bill Skarsgard. While the two are playing undisclosed characters, we still were able to have a glimpse of them making up the much anticipated X-Force.
With all these new fights behind Deadpool, let’s hope our friendly neighborhood ‘Pool can take down Cable! (Considering Brolin has signed a contract for four films, doesn’t seem like it!)
Deadpool 2 premiers in theaters May 18th. Whatever you’re doing, cancel it, and go see this movie!
